What I really liked about this article is that it stressed a lot on how drawing is a part of everyone, regardless of whether or not they’re an artist. But it’s interesting that its just drawing. Mediums like painting or sculpture don’t resonate with everyone like drawing does. I’ve noticed that most people doodle on a daily basis. Mostly in class on their paper or on a sticky note while talking on the phone. I find myself drawing all the time. When I’m in class and have a pen and paper in my hand, its impossible for me not to do some sort of doodle while listening to the teacher. I feel like it almost helps me concentrate. Drawing is not only a form of art but also a type of feeling. I feel a sense of relaxation when I’m drawing. When ever I’m anxious or nervous, if I can have a pen in my hand and just doodle anything- hearts or some sort of line design- I’d be so content. On the other hand, drawing can be energized or chaotic. I can draw to let out my frustrations or anxiety by making harsh swift lines on paper. Drawing is unpredictable and limitless. I can do anything I want with drawing, and that’s why I love it so much. Everything is up to me. I am in control. That’s whats so cool about drawing. It can be anything you want it to be.
