In response to Brooke's post, I wanted to share some of the street art images that I have found that I think are really incredible. Like I said below, I the use of value to create a sense of depth is what I think makes these images so believable. In many aspects, they remind me of the depth that was used on the baroque period church ceilings. I think it is really cool that the venue for the art is on the street, so it allows for people to actually interact with the art unlike in a gallery where the you cannot touch the images and they are protected in a frame. I think that this relationship that the viewer gets to have with the image really adds another dimension to the piece. I would like to work on my ability to create depth particularity because of the interesting relationship that it creates with the viewer.

Hey! I just wanted to ask what the name of the artist was that did these drawings?! Because I know that Julian Beever does stuff like this, but I have never seen the ones you posted before, so I was just curious if there were other artists starting to do stuff like this too, especially the one on the top, its just really cool!
