It was very difficult for me to find one object to choose for this assignment. I sat in my dorm room looking for something that had some sort of sentimental or valuable meaning in my life. As it turns out, there was literally nothing that instantly grabbed my attention. So to get my brain kicking, I made a pot of coffee. I then realized the importance coffee has come to play in my life over the past few years. I drink a cup of coffee in the morning to get my day started. I drink it in the afternoon to give me an extra boost I need to get through the day. And most importantly, I have had some memorable times with friends over a cup of coffee. However it’s not the addiction to caffeine that makes me love coffee so much but rather the pleasure I get from drinking it. I love the smell, the taste, and the comfort I receive from coffee. So that’s why I decided to choose a coffee mug for my evocative object. Although it is not a physical object that has been a major part of my life for years, it still is a major part of my daily life. Besides the bad breath or the sudden urge you might receive to immediately use the restroom, coffee is an incredible drink. I can always rely on coffee in any circumstance. As odd is it may seem, coffee is always there to bring me comfort.
