Drawing

I define drawing as an expressive way to put something on paper and a specific medium of artwork. Drawing does not necessarily need to be any usual drawing utensil, such as a pencil or charcoal. Many drawings are done from paint or other unusual mediums, but they are simply drawn, not painted. I enjoy drawing because it's very satisfying to create an image or something intricate with only a pencil and paper. I also enjoy drawing because it is easy for the viewer to see the amount of work and time the artist put into the drawing. For me drawing simply serves as another medium of art. I usually work from observation so drawing for me is a way to copy what I see, however many others, who are much more creative than I, use drawing as a way to express themselves and interpret situations, cultures, people, send messages, and much more. Because I like to work from observation drawing is essential for me because I am able to record what I see easily, simply with a paper and pencil. While both these ways are very different, they are both an expressive way to create art and interpret life.
