Cool stuff

Okay so the instillation art we saw today at conduit today by sandra ono was pretty cool.  I love installation art.  You probably know that already considering all of my weird ideas.  Anyways the sculpture she made with dental floss was not only creative and very well done, but I also love that it completely smelled like dental floss.  It makes the piece that much cooler.   Seeing her work reminded me of all of the installation art I discovered in high school when i took an installation art class.  That being said i need to show you some of the most insane installation art ive ever seen!!!!

Okay so the first one looks like a cool drawing on soap right? WRONG. It's actually some guys pubic hair that he made into this swirly design. OKAY WHAT? First of all thats gross, second of all like how is that even possible? But honestly once you get past the fact that its someones pubic hair this is pretty cool.

This next one is crazy.  It might be my favorite installation art of all times.  So it may just look like a picture of a guy standing on a scary looking cliff....but IT'S NOT!!! Thats just sidewalk chalk!!!! What?  Totally mind blowing I know.  I think this is so cool.  I know its just drawn in perspective and everything but it's so hard to believe someone can draw that and have it be that realistic.

This one is cool too.  I really want to try something like this.  I think its so interesting.  This is why I love installation art.  It can be something so simple yet so complex at the same time.  I also love how by seeing this you realize that such a simple medium, such as sidewalk chalk, can be used to not only draw silly things on sidwalks, but can also be used to draw such complex illusions such as these.

  1. Brooke. I too find street art really really cool. I am posting some other street art images that I have always thought were really interesting. I think what makes all these images so awesome is the incredible sense of depth that the artist is able to capture to make the scene seem believable and trick your eye.
